Caught in Time is a collection of Australian stories from popular ABC Radio National historian Bill Bunbury. It is a tapestry of snapshots from before European settlement through to the late twentieth century. Stories range from the fascinating account of the 1711 wreck of the Dutch ship Zuytdorp, to an Australian soldier’s remarkable escape and lone voyage across the Mediterranean in the 1940s.

    Bill Bunbury

    Born in the UK, Bill Bunbury attended King’s School, Bruton, and graduated from Durham University with BA Hons. Lit. He came to Australia in 1963 and worked as a Producer with the ABC’s Education unit, then Social History unit from 1969 to 2007. Bill has since taken up the position of Adjunct Professor of History and Media at Murdoch University. Read more
