Pages from Sally Morgan and Ezekiel Kwaymullina’s vibrant picture book We All Sleep have been chosen to be displayed as part of a new walking trail in the City of Hume, Victoria.

The book is one of only three stories chosen to form part of the HumeXplorer trail that is designed to get children out into nature and exploring their local environment.

The story will be spread across ten signs along a one-kilometre nature trail, and is expected to be up for approximately one year.

Ezekiel said, ‘I was really happy that We All Sleep was being used for the woodland walk, it's a great chance to get kids out in the fresh air and help them become interested in the natural world.’

Hume City Council said HumeXplorer encourages and incentivises children to get outdoors in Hume’s parks and open spaces, connect with nature and learn something new. The program is targeted at children aged three to eight years and their families, and provides opportunities for physical activity and social connection.

For more information, visit the HumeXplorer website.

We All Sleep by Ezekiel Kwaymullina and Sally Morgan is available online from www.fremantlepress.com.au and from all good bookstores.
