Rocker returns to Perth for book launch

May 7, 2015

Musician and author Dave Warner, a Perth household name and now a Sydneysider, makes his homecoming later this month to celebrate the launch of his next novel.

Dave’s seventh book, Before It Breaks, takes readers to the northern extremes of Western Australia, where the dirt is red and fine and the blue sky stretches on forever.

Detective Daniel Clement returns to Broome to lick his wounds after his marriage falls apart. His new team of small-town cops are far from impressive and Clement’s life starts to feel as dreary as his latest career move.

When a body is discovered at a local fishing spot, it’s clearly not the work of a crocodile. As the body count begins to rise, Clement has to solve a decades-old mystery while a monster cyclone inches its way towards the coast.

Before It Breaks will be launched by ABC Radio’s Geoff Hutchison at 11 am on Saturday 30 May at Bar Orient, 39 High Street, Fremantle. To RSVP email admin@fremantlepress.com.au.
