Ebook Format Information
Frequently Asked Questions about Hal Spacejock eBooks.
What currency am I buying in?
Australian dollars.
When will I receive my books?
Fremantle Press endeavours to send books within 48 hours. Yes, we are still doing it manually! Why? Because some emails supplied still filter us out as spam and we want to be able to contact you as soon as possible if there are any hiccups.
What’s in the download? Which file formats do I get?
You get identical copies of whichever book you ordered in the Hal Spacejock series in rtf, prc, html, epub and text format. This should cover most reading devices, and because they’re open formats you can use them to generate other files (e.g. PDF, Kindle, etc). If you have a gmail account, we send you a .doc file.
I have a gmail account. Why do I get a .doc file?
Unfortunately emails sent to gmail accounts are treated as spam. The quickest and easiest way to get the Hal files in other formats is to provide an alternative email address. If you are unable to do so and still wish to receive the files in rtf, prc, html, epub and text please contact our customer service department; admin@fremantlepress.com.au so we can make alternate arrangements.
How big is the download file?
The download file is under 2mb, and should download in less than a minute. It’s zipped to keep it as small as possible.
