WELCOME: New administration officer

4th July 2010

The Fremantle Press front desk has a new face with Tamsin Rehn joining us in the new role of administration and customer service assistant. Tamsin is a very experienced administrator who spends her weekends working as a professional make-up artist.

More about Tamsin:

Tell us one thing you didn’t admit to in your job interview?
Years ago when my best friend took a position working in a bookshop after leaving school … I said that ‘I could never see myself working with books.’. Now I have accepted a fantastic position where I am at the front of a company who takes a lot of pride in superior publication and distribution of books … and I get to work with a lovely supportive team. So I’m glad I work with books now!

What’s your all-time favourite book(s) and why?
Conveniently enough – A Sausage Went for a Walk! (I was oblivious to the fact that it was even an FP book until my mum pointed it out when I phoned her to tell her I was offered the position.) It was one of the first books I purchased with my own pocket money (I was eight years old) whilst visiting my nanna in Busselton, so it has a lot of great memories attached to it … nearly twenty years on and I still own the original copy and still love it.

I’m also a fan of almost any coffee table books … locations, fashion, cookbooks, etc. I can’t cook … but I appreciate looking at quality photographs of beautiful things that I wish I could make!
