INVITATION: Tea with Gothard in Albany
14th April 2011
Join Jan Gothard author of Greater Expectations: Living with Down Syndrome in the 21st Century for afternoon tea at the Vancouver Cafe in Albany on Saturday 30 April at 2.30pm.
Dr Jan Gothard’s association with Down Syndrome dates from the day her daughter Maddie was born with the disability 22 years ago. Her moving, partly autobiographical account of Western Australians living with this disability is what Professor Fiona Stanley calls a MUST read for teachers, parents, librarians and policy makers everywhere. Author royalties from the sale of this book are donated to the Down Syndrome Association of WA.
