NEWS: eBooks online
6th July 2010
Fremantle Press eBooks are now available from www.fremantlepress.com.au . Jon Doust’s Miles Franklin long-listed book, Boy on a Wire, and best-selling young adult novel, Destroying Avalon, are just some of the novels available on the new eBooks webpage.
CEO, Jane Fraser, said the launch was part of Fremantle Press’ new policy of publishing selected eBook editions in tandem with their hard copy counterparts.
‘Fremantle Press has been publishing eBooks for many years but now, with the increased availability of eBook readers, it makes sense that they become a standard part of our publishing process.
‘Thanks to new partnerships with ReadHowYouWant and eBooks Corporation, we’ve been able to streamline the process and integrate eBooks into the publishing program,’ said Fraser.
As well as those mentioned above, new eBooks include: Pomo Oz: Fear and Loathing Downunder by Niall Lucy, Choices by Dianne Wolfer and The Bookshop on Jacaranda Street by Marlish Glorie.
Coming soon: Rhubarb by Craig Silvey, 90 packets of instant noodles by Deb Fitzpatrick and Beautiful Monster and In Ecstasy by Kate McCaffrey
