7th Annual A Night With Our Stars

This year’s A Night With Our Stars will be held on Thursday, 4 March 2010 at Westbooks, 396 Millpoint Rd, Victoria Park WA 6100 at 6.30pm.

Presented each year by the WA Branch of The Children’s Book Council of Australia the evening provides an opportunity for about 20 presenters to speak for about three minutes on a title for young people published the previous year. This is a marvelous opportunity for the many strands of the WA children’s literature network to gather together.

It showcases newcomers as well as established authors and illustrators and provides an opportunity for speaking engagements for Children’s Book Week as teachers, school and public librarians hear first-hand accounts from the presenters as to the creative process behind the finished book. In addition to drinks and nibbles, there is the chance for sales and signing from favourite authors and illustrators.

The cost is $20 for CBCA members and $25 for non-members.
