Carolyn Wadley Dowley has a passion for narrative exploration of the past in the present. ‘My hope is that ‘new’ historical knowledge will promote deeper understanding amongst and between all Australians.’ Through Silent Country was her first book. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Australian Studies, and is occasionally an architect.
