Susan Sickert
Susan Sickert was born in 1955 in Port Augusta, South Australia, of German immigrant parents and moved to Broome in 1985. Her five years behind the counter at the Kimberley Bookshop inspired her to write a ‘Broome book’ that, while laying bare the veneer of romanticism which envelops the town, also celebrates its uniqueness and beauty.
