- About the Book
-
The Kangaroo Virus project is a collaboration between poet John Kinsella and sound artist and photographer Ron Sims fusing poetry, photographs and sound recordings into an organic whole. It is a multimedia investigation of landscape and language, rumour and fact, concerning the sudden blindness and subsequent death of kangaroos in the southern forests of Western Australia. The project asks questions about the nature of intervention; ecologically — whether the virus was ‘created’ by humans — and artistically — about the intrusive nature of the camera, the microphone and the notebook. Includes a CD.
