Seventy kilometres off Australia’s west coast lie a series of barren-looking atolls called the Abrolhos Islands. The seasonal inhabitants of these islands came from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and, like many isolated communities, have developed close links. Working together as a community they have built schools, halls, churches and lifelong friendships. Working together in the crayfishing industry they have faced hardships and tragedy.
