Jacqueline O'Brien

Jacqueline O’Brien nee Wittenoom is the joint author and photographer of a number of beautifully illustrated books on Irish heritage. She has been a Director of the Architectural Archive of Ireland and has lectured internationally on historical subjects. Born in Perth she graduated from the University of Western Australian with an honours degree in Economics, and also holds an honours degree in Humanities. In 1951 she married the celebrated Irish racehorse trainer Vincent O’Brien and lived in County Tipperary with their five children. Since Vincent’s retirement they have spent the northern winters in Australia. In 2006 Jacqueline completed a best-selling biography of her husband.
