Duncan Mackay
Duncan Mackay was born in Kenya and lived in Somalia, Scotland and New Zealand before migrating to Western Australia. He has been a journalist, historian and freelance writer, and also worked in government. Duncan’s second novel for younger readers, Storm Callers, was selected as a Notable Book by the Children’s Book Council of Australia (2008). His first novel was Money to Burn (1997). He has also written two works of colonial history, Working the Kauri (1991) and Frontier New Zealand(1992), and published several historical articles. He lives in Perth with his wife, and enjoys sports, music and the beach.
