Cathy Cole
Professor Catherine Cole is Chair of the RMIT University Creative writing program. She has published three novels, two works of non-fiction, poetry, short stories and essays. Her research explores creativity and the teaching of creative writing, particularly the ways in which memory and place have fashioned literary movements. She has extensive experience as a teacher of writing in a number of Australian universities. She has been a Writing and Research fellow at the University of East Anglia, UK, a resident of the Keesing Studio, Paris, and an Asialink resident in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Wilderness Society Award
