Anthony Brown
Anthony Brown was born in England and served in the British Army during 1944-1948. He migrated to Australia in 1953, and has lived in Adelaide since 1969. Ill-Starred Captains reflects his long-standing interest in Australian maritime history. Now retired, he is a former chief librarian of the SA Institute of Technology, and director of learning resources in the SA department of TAFE. He was historical adviser to the Encounter 2002 event in South Australia, celebrating the bicentenary of the 1801-1803 British and French voyages of discovery.
