Jamie Edis
Jamie was born in the USA, but at age seven moved with his Australian parents and three older brothers back to Perth, Western Australia. His love of drawing, stop motion animation and movies led him to film school. After working around Australia in the TV industry, Jamie and his wife moved to San Francisco where he created computer games with his brother. But, missing meat pies and the relaxed lifestyle, they moved back Down Under onto a hobby farm in York, WA, where they had meat pies for lunch for the first three months. He has always been fascinated with storytelling and illustration (cartoons in particular), and it was these interests that eventually led him to becoming the animator, sound effects and computer game designer of ezone.com. As if this creative outlet wasn’t enough, Jamie sat down in his lack of spare-time and created his picture book, Have you ever heard a giraffe laugh?
