Alexandra Hasluck

Born in 1908 in Perth, Western Australia, Alexandra Hasluck was a fifth generation Australian and a graduate of The University of Western Australia. A social historian and a full-time writer, she was created a Dame of the Order of Australia for her services to Australian letters. She died in 1993.
