Tim Winton

Tim Winton was born in Perth, Australia, in 1960. He is the author of twenty books. His novel Cloudstreet is considered a modern Australian classic. A three-time winner of the Miles Franklin Award, short listed twice for the Booker Prize (for The Riders in 1995 and Dirt Music in 2002), Winton is a best selling author whose work has been adapted for the stage and screen and is widely translated. His most recent work is Breath. Tim Winton lives with his family in Western Australia.
