Simon Adams

Through no fault of his own Simon Adams was in born in Auckland in 1968. Following a peripatetic childhood in New Zealand, Canada and the United States, his family moved to Australia, where he has lived for the majority of his life. After working as an apprentice carpenter and building the nation’s new parliament house (for which he was not singularly responsible), he travelled the world. He has worked in South Africa, Ireland, East Timor and Cuba. Professor Adams is currently, Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) Monash University, based at the university’s South African campus.
