Kate Lamont
Kate Lamont lived in the Swan Valley, Perth, for the first thirty years of her life. She discovered a passion for cooking while pursuing a career as a winemaker. In the mid-eighties, Kate and her sister, Fiona, opened a restaurant at Lamont’s Swan Valley winery. With an emphasis on fresh, simple food, the restaurant has proved an enduring success. In the mid-nineties, Kate and Fiona opened a Lamonts’ outlet in Perth focusing on fine produce, catering, takeout and hampers. The business also operates restaurants in Margaret River and East Perth. Kate will open a fourth wine and food venue in 2008.
